Jackson County Released Inmates is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, free anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly.
Official Records and Custody Contacts
The correct contact depends on the last custodian and the type of proof needed. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department handles county jail status and release or movement records. Court offices hold bond, disposition, judgment, and sentence documents. TDOC maintains state felony and archived offender records, while its District 31 office serves local community supervision. Board and VINE contacts answer different parole and notification questions.

VINE assists with searches and notification registration. It does not replace a certified sheriff or TDOC record.
Use the route that matches the question:
- For a named person released from Jackson County Jail, begin with the home page search and record steps, then contact the sheriff for the completed event.
- For supervision after release, use Probation & Parole, TDOC District 31, or the Board according to the sentence.
- For same-day jail activity, use Jail Releases: 24 Hours. Jackson County has no official online release feed, so the sheriff record is the fallback.
- For timing or alerts, consult Projected Release and VINELink Inmate Search. An expected date or alert still needs source confirmation.
- For the local facility, use the Jackson County Jail page listed in the footer and contact the sheriff before traveling.
- For a sentenced Tennessee felony offender, use TDOC FOIL or Records Management. FOIL does not cover every county-only jail stay.
- For federal or civil immigration custody, use the official BOP Inmate Locator or ICE locator. Those systems cannot confirm a Jackson County jail event.
